Dear Business Partners,
Recently, we have received feedback from some of you that your customers had been charged by a company called ‘Hong Yuan’ to amend EDI details for customs clearance upon shipment arrival at Beijing Airport (PEK).
We wish to inform you that RedCargo / AirAsia have not contracted any third party to submit EDI information on behalf of us or our clients.
To the best of our knowledge, Hong Yuan is separately engaged by some forwarding agents used by consignees to clear customs when the shipment arrive at PEK. To avoid any additional costs to your customers / consignees, we recommend the following:
- Ensure that complete data is completed in SmartKargo upon booking / acceptance (best way to prevent any issues). We attach here again the guideline for your reference;
- If data is incomplete, consignee may go to BGS warehouse to manually input the data into the customs system according to the details printed on AWB. It’s FREE OF CHARGE. Venue for manually EDI amending: Room 216, BGS Int’l Warehouse, 10 desktops provided. Operating Hours: Time: 0830-2200 LT;
- Please inform your customer to not agree to pay for anyone to complete the data on their behalf.
